Phonics is a large part of children’s learning in the EYFS. We learn each sound which supports your child to read books. When they are able to read they learn masses of skills, such as comprehension, inference, predicting and much more! Don’t forget that it will also support children in their writing, especially when trying to sound out words. That’s why we ask that you go over each sound and read each week.
